The Hypoestes phyllostachya is native to South Africa, Madagascar, and South East Asia. Commonly called Polka Dot Plant or Freckle Face Plant the Hypoestes phyllostachya is a colorful evergreen shrub. Great to add a splash of color to your garden and home in spring. The Red Splash will make a lovely little feature for on a table or in your garden. Feed early in the growing season for growth, keep in a bright light position for best color and to stop it getting too leggy. Keep your Hypoestes soil moist but not too wet. These plants are also suitable for hanging baskets or grouping together in a large pot to create a centerpiece.
